They are designed to automatically compensate for wear, enabling them to adjust outward within the movable drive pulley half, thereby facilitating a higher maximum vehicle speed.
Traditionally, CVT gear ratio is altered through the vertical movement of roller weights along the ramp of the moveable drive face in the drive pulley / variator. However, the innovative Dr. Pulley Sliding Roller Weights utilize a sliding motion rather than a rolling one to modify the gear ratio. This distinct sliding action offers significant advantages that enhance CVT performance. With Dr. Pulley, there is no risk of abnormal wear, even under high gear conditions.
