Traditionally, CVT gear ratio is altered through the vertical movement of roller weights along the ramp of the moveable drive face in the drive pulley / variator. However, the innovative Dr. Pulley Sliding Roller Weights utilize a sliding motion rather than a rolling one to modify the gear ratio.
